As many of you will know the April 2019 release note has become available today. I will be updating over the next few days on my thoughts on each of the areas and the exciting things that are coming. I thought I would start with this one though as it is by far the smallest section in the notes at a single page. This short update is however exciting and one to keep an eye on. Does this mean the end of PSA or an exciting new beginning?

Microsoft has recently communicated with customers that as of the 16th of January 2019 it will no longer be offering Social Engagement or Insideview to new customers. They will, however, honour current subscriptions for the next year. If I am honest this does not come as a shock that they have discontinued these products as since they were released they have been underfunded both regarding investment of money and effort. As part of the announcement, Microsoft has advised that they will be putting their efforts into Marketing AI for Insights which they are looking to push as the replacement for…
This is an expansion on my previous post about the ClickDimensions Cookie Challenge. ClickDimensions is an excellent addon for Dynamics 365 though when it comes to form capture, it lacks what I feel is a fundamental function. Out of the box when a form is submitted the system is only capable of redirecting the end user to either a success or failure page, while this works well for contact us forms it is not as suitable for the likes of a whitepaper download where you want to redirect the user to a specific page based on the context of the…
It is getting to that time of year again where Microsoft are going to be releasing new features and functionality for Dynamics365 and the Power Platform. These are the key dates to make a note of for when things will be released. I am looking forward to getting the release notes and previews. The official roadmap can is available here: https://dynamics.microsoft.com/en-us/roadmap/overview/
I have recently been working with a client who is implementing ClickDimensions marketing automation solution. Part of the solution allows website form captures to be created within Microsoft Dynamics CRM as either a lead or a contact. Overview ClickDimensions form handling after submission is fairly limited in terms of what happens once the user clicks on submit. Currently there are two outcomes: The user is redirected to a static success page or a static error page. In the world of internet marketing a static page fails to meet the needs of more advanced websites. The ideal is to be able to redirect…
Well it has been a busy year and so far a very busy day. I just wanted to post a quick Merry Christmas to everyone.
In this article, I am going to look at the newly available Microsoft Dynamics Marketing, in particular, the architecture and how it all hangs together. Microsoft has a real focus on cloud architecture, and this is the first of the business applications that have been built entirely for the cloud. Unfortunately, this means there will be no on-premise version made available. Dynamics Marketing has been built from the ground up within the new common data service (I will write further on this in the future). It harnesses the power of the Dynamics 365 CRM platform and key Azure functions; this…
Microsoft Cognitive services offer a range of services that can use the power of Azure to undertake tasks that used to require a considerable amount of code to conduct. In this example, I am going to use the out of the box translation service to demonstrate how using Microsoft Dynamics, Cognitive services and FLOW to translate emails on the fly as they are created in Dynamics. This shows how you can implement these three services without the need for any code. The Scenario In the global business community, we are going to encounter situations where we receive communications that are…
