As I am sure you aware we are in a very unusual time in society with the current COVID-19 pandemic that is sweeping across the world. This situation is putting a lot of pressure on business continuity plans and putting them to the test. Up until yesterday, there was also an upcoming update coming for the power platform and dynamics 365.
Microsoft has rightly identified that due to the current unprecedented events that many businesses will not be ready for the April release which was due to land on the 1st of April and the mandatory use of the unified interface in October. Microsft have now deferred these updates to take the pressure off and allow organisations to focus on what is important, keeping business going.
The updated dates are now:
- Wave 1 update – 1st May
- UI Enforcement – 1st December
At this time, relax and stay safe!

Dave – do you have a Microsoft source link confirming this? The dates at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/get-started/release-schedule still reflect an April 1 release.
